Low-income households may benefit from the Household Support Fund, which helps cover essential costs. Those over the State Pension age who receive qualifying benefits might be eligible for the Winter Fuel Payment, ranging from £200 to £300, which will be paid automatically in November and December. However, new claimants may need to apply directly to receive this benefit.

Updates to Winter Fuel Payment Eligibility

Starting in winter 2024/25, significant changes will affect the Winter Fuel Payment program across the UK.
